Terms of Service
Last updated: July 29, 2026
1. Overview
BillSlayer (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides an AI-powered bill negotiation coaching platform accessible at billslayer.co (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you (“you” or “User”) agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify you of material changes by updating the date above.
2. What BillSlayer Does
BillSlayer provides real-time AI coaching during phone calls you make to your service providers. The Service includes:
- Bill research and competitor rate analysis
- Negotiation playbooks with company-specific strategies
- Live AI coaching powered by Google Gemini during your calls
- Automatic detection of savings offers made during calls
- Call outcome tracking and savings history
BillSlayer does not make calls on your behalf. You are the one speaking with your service provider. We provide guidance and suggestions in real time while you negotiate.
3. Success-Based Pricing
BillSlayer uses a pay-when-you-save model. You are only charged when a negotiation results in confirmed savings on your bill.
- Success fee: 25% of your first-year savings from a successful negotiation
- Minimum fee: $4.99 per confirmed savings event
- Maximum fee: $199.99 per confirmed savings event
- No savings, no fee: If your negotiation does not result in a lower rate, you pay nothing
After a successful call, you confirm the new rate in the app. We calculate the fee based on the difference between your old and new monthly rates, projected over 12 months (or, for one-time bills such as medical bills, the difference between the original and final amounts). Payment is processed through Stripe at the time of confirmation.
3.1 Payment Method on File
AI-coached calls require a valid payment method saved to your account before the call begins. By saving a payment method, you authorize us to charge success fees that become due under these Terms to that payment method, including charges processed while you are not actively using the Service (“off-session” charges).
3.2 Detected Savings and Unconfirmed Outcomes
During AI-coached calls, the Service analyzes the live call transcript to detect when a provider confirms a reduced rate, discount, or reduced balance (“Detected Savings”). You agree to promptly confirm or dispute the outcome of each coached call in the app.
If a coached call ends with Detected Savings and you do not confirm or dispute the outcome:
- New AI-coached calls are paused on your account until you respond;
- We will send a notice to your account email describing the Detected Savings and requesting confirmation; and
- If you do not respond within 72 hours of that notice, you authorize us to calculate the success fee from the Detected Savings and charge it to your payment method on file.
Detection is based on an automated transcript and may occasionally be wrong. If a negotiation did not in fact succeed, reporting that in the app or replying to the notice - before or after any charge - is sufficient, and a fee charged solely due to a detection error will be reversed. Honestly disputing an outcome never costs you anything; the success fee applies only to real savings. Repeatedly reporting unsuccessful outcomes that the evidence contradicts is a violation of Section 7 and grounds for account termination.
4. Account and Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use BillSlayer. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each account is for individual use only.
We use email-based authentication (magic links). You are responsible for ensuring your email address is current and accessible.
5. Call Recording and Consent
BillSlayer listens to your calls through your device microphone to provide real-time coaching. You are responsible for complying with all applicable call recording and monitoring laws, including federal and state wiretapping statutes.
In “two-party consent” states (including California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington), all parties on the call must consent to being monitored. BillSlayer will remind you to disclose the use of an AI assistant at the start of your call.
We are not responsible for any legal consequences arising from your failure to obtain proper consent before or during a call.
6. No Guarantee of Savings
BillSlayer provides coaching suggestions based on industry data, negotiation best practices, and AI analysis. We do not guarantee any specific outcome. Service providers may decline to lower your rate regardless of the strategy used.
Success rates displayed in the app are historical averages based on aggregated data and are not a promise of future results.
7. Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for accurately entering your bill amounts, provider information, and confirmed savings. Intentionally misrepresenting savings to avoid fees or manipulate the Service is a violation of these Terms and may result in account termination.
8. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your payment card details - all payment information is handled directly by Stripe.
The success fee is charged after you review and confirm your savings, or, for unconfirmed outcomes with Detected Savings, as described in Section 3.2. Confirmed fees are final; fees charged under Section 3.2 may be reversed only as described there. When you confirm savings in the app, you see the exact fee amount before your card is charged.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, design, negotiation strategies, playbooks, and software comprising BillSlayer are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BillSlayer and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:
- Failed negotiations or inability to reduce a bill
- Legal consequences from call recording without proper consent
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated suggestions or competitor rate data
- Service interruptions, API failures, or connectivity issues
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid to BillSlayer in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@billslayer.app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
